I’m Jim Huck, a math teacher and tutor with over 15 years of experience teaching grades 6–12, including courses from sixth-grade math through AP Calculus. I recently retired from teaching but maintain a current California teaching credential and continue to work with students at all levels. I help students build confidence in math through clear instruction and practical, step-by-step learning.
Many students come to me feeling behind or frustrated. I help them get caught up by identifying gaps, explaining concepts step by step, and building strong habits through guided practice. The goal is not just to finish homework, but to create a solid foundation so math starts to feel manageable and less stressful.
I also work with students who want to move ahead—whether that means preparing for advanced classes, improving test performance, or getting ready for honors, AP, or college-level math. Sessions are focused, supportive, and designed to help students make real progress.
